Why We Like It
Yeah I know this is a stupid amount of money for a controller, but it's truly one of the best ergonomic upgrades available for gamers dealing with hand discomfort.
(It will also give you a slight edge over the poorer 25 year-olds in shooters (aiming while sprinting/jumping is much easier with paddles).)
An extremely overlooked source of controller fatigue is thumbstick clicking. Many modern games map sprinting, crouching, melee attacks, and other frequently used actions to L3 and R3. Over time, repeatedly pressing down on the sticks while moving them can aggravate thumb and hand discomfort.
The Elite Series 2 helps solve that problem with four rear paddles that can be mapped to common actions. Instead of constantly clicking your thumbsticks, you can move those inputs to your middle or ring fingers, spreading the workload across your hand.
The result is often a more comfortable gaming experience—especially during longer sessions.
